Tournament Rules, Terms, and Policy

Tournaments held by and at AngryEdison.com are NOT official Guitar Hero or GuitarHero.com tournaments. They will not count towards your GuitarHero.com statistics. This web site and tournaments are in no way affiliated or endorsed by GuitarHero.com. All trademarks, logos, and names are copyright of their respective owners.

Rules

  • Enter a tournament only if you can and plan on playing during the run of the tournament. If you're not sure, don't enter.
  • Only one player per person. You cannot have two or more players registered to allow you to enter more often or under different skill levels.
  • No cheating. It's considered cheating when you do not follow any of these rules.
  • Play tournament songs at their proper difficulty within the scheduled times of the tournament.
  • Play songs in Quickplay mode.
  • You can only withdraw from a tournament before it starts.
  • If you register but do not play in a tournament, your score for each song will be recorded as zero.
  • In the case two players get the same score for a song, a winner will be chosen at random. Each player will have a 50% chance of being picked.
  • Winners must have a score greater than zero. You cannot win on final round draw where both players have scores of zero.
  • All recorded scores are final. Scores cannot be changed after they are recorded.
  • All winners are final and will be credited as such on leaderboards.
  • You should only enter tournaments where the difficulty level matches your skill. If you've completed more than 80% of a specific difficulty in Career mode you cannot enter any lower difficulty tournaments.
  • When a tournament ends, it ends. All tournament standings, brackets, and scores are final.

Terms

  • No purchase necessary. All tournaments are free to enter and are deemed safe for players of all ages.
  • Only players 14 years and older are eligable to win tournament prize items. If a tournament winner is under the age of 14 no prize item will be rewarded.
  • Only one winner per household is allowed within a 30-day period. If the same person wins within 30-days, their are credited with the win but no prizes are awarded to any player.
  • Prizes can only be awarded to players living in the United States. Prizes cannot be shipped to other countries at this time. Prizes that can be delivered on-line can be won by anyone regardless of geographic location.
  • Tournament winners should contact stickers[at]angryedison.com within five (5) days after the tournament ends to claim their prize. We may contact you for information, but it is not our responsibility to notify winners.
  • The conditions of awarding prizes can vary per prize and/or per tournament.
  • Prizes are rewarded in the order they are won by tournament. This means if you enter Tournament A and enter Tournament B and win both, you'll only receive the prize for Tournament A. In such cases, it's best to only enter the tournament with the prize you want to win.
  • We reserve the right to remove tournament participants without notice if we feel they are cheating or otherwise breaking the rules or terms.
  • In the case of technical difficulties that effect all players, the tournament shall be thrown out and all players involved will have their stats returned to their pre-tournament values. No prizes are awarded in the case of a canceled tournament.
  • Tournaments are canceled and not eligible for prizes or statistics when the tournament has less than two entered players at start time, if there are no recorded scores at the end of the tournament, or if both players in the final round have a score of zero.
  • We are not responsible for user or third-party problems. If your scores or tournament experience is altered due to a third-party or local problem we cannot provide support, change your stats, or disqualify the tournament.

Policy

  • All personal information such as e-mail address, phone numbers, age, name, etc. are kept private and under no circumstances are they given, shared, or sold to third-parties or partners.
  • By submitting your e-mail address you agree to receive messages from Angry Edison. We send out play reminders, confirmations, system notices, and promotional messages.
  • This site uses cookies as a conveniece. Disabling cookies will not effect your ability to enter or play in tournaments.
  • By submitting your mobile phone number you agree to allow Angry Edison to send you text messages. Text messaging fees may apply and depend on your mobile phone contract and plan.
